This is my life! My name is Danielle, I’m a registered veterinary nurse (and crazy cat lady) that has been in the field for close to a decade. This alone sets Ears&Paws apart from other catteries, with continuous education and unlimited resources to raise the healthiest cats possible. I have volunteered and fostered for multiple animal shelters since I was a teen, along with growing up on a farm. Working in shelter medicine and the vet hospital has taught me how important responsible breeding is, and how genetics can affect the future of our beloved pets. Preservation breeding has always been an interest of mine, and I’ve always respected breeders that dedicate their lives to the betterment of our animals. I am proud to say I have found the resources and the passion to do just that!
Ears&Paws Maine Coons
I take pride in raising my cats in a cage-free environment and follow a strict protocol of balanced diet, vaccination, deworming, and quarantine to make sure I'm not risking the cat's health in any way. Kittens born in my cattery are handled and carried around every day and have a ton of enrichment. They receive regular grooming, run around with my crazy pack of dogs, and enjoy music with me as I do chores. At the end of the day, the kittens I raise are as desensitized and family-oriented as I can make them. They go to work with me and get tons of attention on top of their exams to make sure everyone is healthy, and if there is an ailment, I do everything in my power to do right by them. I can’t take all the credit, Zach is always willing to help with anything I need regarding the cats, and his favorite part is playing with kittens! Thank you for reading, feel free to reach out to me. I strongly believe that once you have a Maine Coon, you will want one forever!
I discovered the Maine Coon cat breed through my vet clinic, a giant black smoke boy named Moscow. He was the most beautiful cat I’d ever seen - with the biggest personality. I knew from that day I wanted to take on this lifestyle. Somehow through intense research, I found my breeder and trusted mentor to this day, all the way in Ukraine. She sent me my first breeding pair and this dream of mine turned into a reality. With many learning curves, I wouldn’t trade this for anything. Every day I learn something new. This breeding program has helped me meet wonderful people whose lives have been changed because of my cats - just like Moscow changed mine.
